Parliament in favour of more transparent Council of Ministers

In an own-initiative report on the reform of the Council, adopted by majority by the European Parliament on 25 October, MEPs showed themselves in favour of a more transparent and streamlined Council of Ministers. A stronger General Affairs Council meeting more regularly and better distinction between the executive and legislative role of the Council were among the priorities expressed by the Parliament.
