Nuclear industry draws new hope from Parliament vote

The European nuclear industry has drawn new hope for its future from last week's Parliament vote on the Green Paper on security of energy supply. MEPs called for a reduction in the demand for energy, an improved energy efficiency in production, development of renewable and alternative energy sources (such as biofuels), new clean coal technologies and significant financial and research support for the nuclear industry.
