Human resources shake-up agreed by Commission
The Commission has agreed on a set of changes to its staff policy and career structure that Commission vice-president Neil Kinnock says will allow it "to create a modern human resources policy". The proposals focus on new management, appraisal, promotion and career system measures. Publication of the new career structure system had been postponed before the summer due to disagreements between staff unions and Mr Kinnock.
