Former central banker becomes Prime Minister of Estonia

The Estonian parliament confirmed the appointment of Siim Kallas, former central bank governor and finance minister, as the new Prime Minister. Mr Kallas, leader of the Estonian Reform Party, pledged to do everything necessary to rapidly conclude Estonia's negotiations to join the EU.
