EU environment ministers discuss new GMO rules
The ministers for environment of the 15 EU Member States will discuss the Commission's new proposals on traceability and labelling of GMOs at the Environment Council meeting on 29 October in Luxembourg. The Environment Commissioner Margot Wallström will present these proposals to the Council and also address Ministers on the related issue of GMO authorisations that have been effectively suspended since October 1998.
