EU employment rate rises to over 63%

A Commission report shows increasing employment in the EU, but decreasing figures in candidate countries. An annual overall employment growth of 1.1% would now be sufficient to reach the 70% employment rate target by 2010 although 3 million new jobs are needed to bring the EU candidate countries employment rate up to the EU average.
