Dutch institute proposes core criteria for enlargement

The Dutch Scientific Council for Government Policy (WRR) has called for the implementation of core EU rules in the EU enlargement countries to preserve the European Union's basic achievements. WWR's study, entitled "Towards a Pan-European Union", urges the EU to identify these core rules and make sure that accession will be based on "a rigid, non-concessionary" core rules test.
