Business federations call for a White Paper on Consumer Protection
Two major business federations, the American Chamber of Commerce in Belgium and UNICE, call for a White Paper as a follow-up to the EU's Green Paper on Consumer Protection, published in November 2001. BEUC, a European consumers' organisation, however, would prefer a proposal, instead of a White Paper that will lengthen the policy-making procedure.
